No beautiful sunrise to photograph this morning. Just grey and cold.
Instead, I am starting out my post with a painting I did a couple of years ago. It was on a table that I donated to a big fundraising auction in Chautauqua. After I completed the painting, I had a piece of glass cut to put over the top so it would be protected. Wish I still had the table.
The pups and I went out to the barn around 7:30.
Had about 95% of my work done before the farrier arrived.
He only had to do my four horses.
This is Masterpiece ....with the bum knee.
Because he can't bend his knee normally, he drags the toe off his front left hoof. John is very careful when he works with him, and PC gets through it very well.
This is Duncan (John's dog)...I have been posting pictures of him since he was a few weeks old.
He keeps his master company on all his barn calls.
I don't know how it is at your barn....
I cross tie my horses and they are all very good about having their feet done.
For some reason, Pony was very anxious while she was waiting in the stall.
After lunch, I went down to Wegmans to pick up what turned into a lot of things.
Huge pineapples were only $2.99!
Did evening chores and got in at 5:30.
This was our dinner. Some leftovers (hamloaf, cranberry orange relish and sweet/mashed potatoes).
But I added something new to the mix. Look at the size of this onion!
I put some olive oil in a pan and threw in two cut carrots....added that big fat onion....
and topped it off with savoy cabbage. Stirfried until everything was tender...added a couple of tablespoons of Kikoman Soy Sauce, cider vinegar and a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar.
Served it as a side with the leftovers.
I was not all that ambitious today. Gary has gone to a meeting...I am going to take a steaming shower and watch a movie. Netflix has really grabbed me.
Night all.

I'm a big fan of stir-fry - we have it almost once a week, but more often in the summer.
We get pineapples here for 1.99 that are HUGE on sale. I am not a pineapple person of course but I get them on sale for my mom who loves them.
ya got me hungry!
Love all the horses too. Your painting is beautiful.
I love seeing Duncan (and dinner, too). Wish I had more lounging time for blogging, but very hectic now. Finishing up school with the kids is taking its toll. Back in about a week, I hope. Take care.
