Lori,
DJ has been getting to know the Teddies. He has lived with them a long time, but never paid much attention to them. That's Minkie & Muskie. They were both fashioned from my mother's fur coats. One bear was made by a bear maker who lived in Holley. The other was made for my sister by Dee Hockenberry who formerly lived on Bacon Road in Albion. Dee is a nationally known bear maker who has written many books about Teddy Bear collectables. Some of my sister's bears were featured in two of Dee's books. So Minkie was a gift to Sherry for lending her bear collection to be use in Dee's books. When Sherry was alive we had joint custody of Minkie. He survived Sherry & Fuzzy's tragic house fire, and lives on here with DJ at Gordon Road. (Just thought you might be interested in a little of DJ' family history.)

Awww too cute....
What a beautiful dog. We always had collies as children and they were terrific. The bears are adorable. Very soft and fluffy I would guess being made from a fur coat. That's putting it to good use.
