I Must Be On Vacation

Certainly off duty in the picture taking department.  It was sunny and brisk this morning...felt energetic.  Pooped out as the day went on and I think I'm getting a cold.  Sneezing and a very runny nose.  Did manage to go to two grocery stores and made a good dinner.  Also watched some basketball.  Now all I want is to get out by the fire.  Here's what I've got....

I marinated and baked a chicken breast that I par boiled (then made some soup), sautéed onions and mushrooms....
made a creamy sauce, added a little Romano cheese and squeezed on some lemon after I tossed everything together.  Tasted great and I have plenty of leftovers.
The salad was marinated asparagus, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, black olives and feta cheese.  A great combination.

Chores at 7:15.  Very dull out tonight.

The boys sure look depressed in these photos!
Night all.

Hey Val! The Snow Arrived!

The wind was back in full force all day long.

Just when we were ready to go to a memorial service at 1:30, the weather got crazy so the boys went back into their stalls.
Our good friend, Alvin A.,  passed away March 9th at the age of 97 and today his life was celebrated.  Amy M., from Hurd Orchards (where Alvin's daughter Christine works) created this beautiful arrangement.

When it was over, we went to the Vet's Club and had a chance to catch up with many people we have not seen in a long time.  By the time we got home, the snow was gone but with the wind it felt like 11 degrees.  Chores at 7.

While waiting for me to reset the stalls, the boys had a very zoomie moment.
It was another roll in the mud day, especially for Rebel.

Little Wonder needed to wear his black coat.
I need a nap.  So many basketball games are on I can't keep up....and I just want to get the final scores.
Night all.

At Least the Sun was Out...

A crispy morning.

My buddies would not let me make the bed.

It was just a little windy and the sun felt pretty good behind the grooming room.

Once again, there was ice on the water trough.
The kitchen was cold and we had a fire going by mid morning.

The temperature did make it to 45 degrees and Gary transplanted an entire row of strawberries over near the garlic.  He took them out of the kitchen garden....we will be loaded this year as there are also some in a raised bed. He is also going to try planting blueberries.
Little Wonder and I watched just enough of the March Madness games to find out the final scores.  So far, my guesses have been pretty good.
I had some chili in the freezer and did not feel like making a big dinner.

Chores at 7:15.

Rebel and Buddy had the usual amount of mud on their necks and faces.  A LOT of hair came off when I used the shedding blade on them.

Night all.

Hello Hanny!
