Way to Hot for Me

I took a shower right when I got up and by 8am (in my night gown) rode my trike down the lane so Little Wonder could get in a walk before it got hot.  At that time there was a nice breeze and the temperature was reasonable.

The garden between the driveways is totally jammed and the Bee Balm is over 4 feet high.

I had no desire to do anything.  Watched the France/Spain soccer match while the fans kept us cool.
At least 4 or 5 people came to collect their garlic this afternoon.  Gary spent a lot of time outside...don't know how he can stand it.  He started taking out some potatoes just before dinner.

No cooking tonight.  Went down to Perri's and got a pizza...on special tonight.

Right now the temperature in the living room and library is just about 85...
and it's supposed to be hot again tomorrow.  Fortunately the kitchen is comfortable.
Night all,

Ridin' In My Car.....

Well Sandra....we did hit 89 degrees and your weather made it to Brockport.  Tomorrow there is a heat advisory and it may feel like 100.

Got up at a reasonable hour this morning and picked some flowers for the kitchen table.

Gary continued getting his garlic orders ready.
At 11, Kim M. and her sister in law Jody came over for 5 bunches and we had a nice long chat.
They went home with flowers too.
Kim has an Art Gallery in Albion, so I took them out to see the Studio before they left

Early afternoon our friend Jackie stopped in to give Gary the new T shirt they will be wearing at Summer Serenades this year. We always end up talking about our community and the many positive things going on here (in spite of the state of our country).

I had a 3:30 appointment with the massage therapist, which made my day.  On top of that, Jenny
invited us to dinner,  All I had to do was make a salad.
Little Wonder always seems to know when we're going there,
Scott grilled some chicken...

Finn got home from the gym just in time to eat....
and it was so delicious!
We even had dessert!
Jenny and Scott sure know how to make great meals,
Got back to the farm just before 8 and here I am.
Night all.

Ride #22

A gorgeous day.  So far, my friend Sandra has not sent us the super hot weather that is now in Minnesota!

Little Wonder let me sleep until 7 this morning.
We went out to the Studio to do a few things....
and the light was so beautiful.

I brought a basket with me to go pick some raspberries and it was a bust.  I only found 2, which I ate.  Checked out the south veggie garden.  The beans are starting to grow up the teepee....
and Gary pulled the rest of the garlic.  He has had so many orders it will be gone in the next two weeks.

I went for a mid morning trike ride as it was not very hot yet.
Some friends around the corner sold their farm and are moving to Vermont.  Today was their last day for a garage sale so I stopped in and had a nice chat with them.  Their dog loves carrying around cardboard boxes.
Such a gorgeous property.

When I got back home I finally baked a rhubarb cake.  Added a few strawberries this time.
Two hibiscus blossoms have appeared.  We have not see any for weeks, so this was a treat

Jenny stopped up on her way back from an event in Rochester and we sent her home with pasta salad, rhubarb cake and flowers for her kitchen table.

We had a non dinner tonight.  Egg rolls.
Below is a photo I took earlier looking through the glass base of a lamp.  Kind of funky.
Done for the day.
Night all.
