A Long Story

Did not quite make it to 50 degrees today.  Crispy with a side of sunshine.

Alice arrived a little after 10 and we stopped at Country Max for some shavings before going to check out Buddy and Cotton.
Both boys were still shedding like crazy.

On the way home we stopped at Wegmans so I could pick up some supplies for tomorrow night.
Joan, Mark and Robbie Fenton are coming to dinner.

Little Wonder, Sid and I took a  short stroll in the kitchen garden.

I mowed the front paddock.  Of course the grass is going to be the best ever.
Picked some fresh flowers for the dining room table.
At 5 we went down to Brockport to support Brock the Vote.  It was an opportunity for people to register to vote regardless of party.  It was set up by Ben D. and I am glad we took the time to attend.

It was well set up....so organized.
The board of elections had a new voting machine there so people could learn how to use it.

There were raffles
and music
along with plenty of snacks and drinks.
Scott H., who is running for Village Board was there to speak with attendees.
Jenny and Scott got there just before us.
Many other community minded people were also there showing support.

Is the message on this t shirt true or what?????
Jenny won this bowl made by Steve Appleton in the raffle.  It's a beauty.

By then it was 6:45 and we went to the diner for dinner with Jenny and Scott.
Night all.

Earth Day

What a gorgeous day.  66 degrees and brilliant.

By 9:30 I was out mowing the lawn.
Everything was so green.
The daffodils are starting to fade and the tulips are appearing.
We never planted these pink flowers....where in the heck did they come from?

After I finished the lawn, decided to hose down the lawn tractors.

Finn arrived at 10 to help Gary move the last of the hay downstairs and then they moved brush to the road for pickup on Monday.
We took him to the Churchville Grill for lunch, and who was there?  Alice!

My afternoon was quiet....

No need to make dinner...Little Wonder and I did go for a short walk.
How about these strawberry plants?  They're really kicking into gear...and so is the rhubarb.

Night all.
