Pasta a la Fenton

Sunshine, rain, hail and more rain.

At 10am it looked like this.

Gary went to yoga and out to lunch.  Little Wonder and I took it easy until this afternoon when John came up for some music in the Studio.

We played until 3 and talked for another half hour.

Invited to dinner at the Fentons tonight as Robby, Mark and families were in town for several days.  I picked some flowers for them and

grabbed a few shots of the 5 new hibiscus blossoms.

At 6pm we left the farm with 2 bottles.  Every time we get together we share our Maker's Mark with them.  Tradition.

Gary created a basket of veggies.....potatoes, beets, onions, shallots, basil and parsley.

He also brought a book for Joan.

This is such a beautiful family....

and they are so much fun!

Dinner was delicious

One of Joan's granddaughters brought her dog Honey...they flew together from California.

So beautiful and well behaved.

It's so late and I am pooped!

My Turn to Host Bridge

A spectacular day weatherwise.  Sunny at no humidity. 74 degrees.

A slow start and I finally got motivated enough to get things ready for bridge.

We had four new hibiscus blossoms.

Gary dug out more potatoes and kept busy....

The Lillies I picked last Friday are still hanging in there..my favorite shot of the day.

Linda, Hanny and Bobby arrived at 1 and we played bridge until 4:30.  Hanny and Bobby skunked Linda and me.  We had plenty of snacks and ended up with homemade strawberry shortcake.

Obviously I was not hungry for dinner and made myself some oatmeal.

Jenny sent me this photo of Cooper and his new wheels!  Used, but is in outstanding shape.

A Breath of Fresh Air

What a difference a day makes.  Windows open and in the low 70s.  Gary went out for coffee and my assistant and I went out to mow the lawn.

I actually had to wear a sweatshirt as it was in the 60s.

First I mowed a wide path for LW so he can get to the back 40.

Did the back pasture....

and finally the front paddock.  Unbelievable grass...where are the horses?

Gary did the hand mowing and blew all the pine needles off the driveway.

LW likes to supervise the entire time and today it was 2 hour and 45 minutes.

Shortly after that I decided to take advantage of the air quality and took a short trike ride.  Last night I had a burning stomach and did not feel that great so I did not do my usual 4 miles.

Jenny stopped up for a minute and at 3 I started watching the FIFA Final with my buddy.

Very happy that Spain won and also very happy that someone we know got booed by 80,000 fans.

I always put a pillow on my lap for LW and he takes very long snoozes,

We did not eat until 7:30.  Just had French toast as I don't want to have a messed up stomach again.
