My Turn To Make Sauce

A gorgeous day....around 80 degrees and not too humid.

There was a lot going on.  Gary finished moving the wood pile.
I picked a bag of tomatoes and added some peppers and onions to take down to our friends Heidi (President of the College) and Allan.  We talked about it at dinner last night and today we both ended up making sauce.  I went to Wegmans and the bank on the way home.

Three of the guys were here painting.  Lots of progress today.

Before making sauce, I picked a few more things out of the raised beds.

Finn had arrived at 9 and did some mowing and weed whacking.

It's taking forever for this sauce to cool down.

Spent much of the afternoon editing an invitation for an event Jenny and I are hosting at the farm on September 7th.  The current County Clerk (Jaime Romeo) is a good friend who was very helpful in getting me (and Mary Rich) elected to the Town Board several years ago.  Now it's our turn to support her.  It will be a brunch and we are looking forward to coming up with a very cool menu.

No cooking tonight.  We went out for a sandwich.
Tucked the boys in at 8.

Night all.

That is a lot of house to paint! Finn is a strong looking young man. Always so much happening in your world.
