After the horses had their grain they headed out to the beautifully mown pasture...no masks, it was only in the 50s and water started spitting down on them.
Finished up and headed into the house for a quick shower.
Helen was back from Oregon and we had all kinds of plans to do a photo shoot of local architecture. Got out to Glen Darach Farm around 11 and it was starting to rain for real.
When we left it was still chilly.
Helen got a couple of shots on Gallup Road, but the weather was not cooperating.
Drove into the village and our first stop was the new art gallery on Market Street.
When I need a different gift for someone, this is where I am going first...
By now it was absolutely pouring and we drove out to boonieville and the Carlton Grill for lunch.
Steve, the owner/chef...was full of beans today.
He came out into the dining room and was chatting with everyone.
After we left, headed south and when we got to the stop sign at Route 104 a car pulled up on our right, rolled down the window and took a photograph. Neither of us could get our cameras out to return the favor so we were in hot pursuit.
When we got to the next stop sign, we pulled next to his car and got even.
If it wasn't my old pal Topper. He finally pulled over in Albion.
We drove to Brockport and stopped at the pharmacy and gas station before heading back to the farm.
When we arrived the dogs were all over Helen....
And look what Gary had going...June 9th....a fire???? And boy, did it feel good...it was so cold and damp.
Gary drove Helen back to Andrea's and I got ready to do evening chores.
It was so ugly out I just put the ponies in for the night.
At 6:45 we met the Talleys and their grandson at the Rorbach Brewing Company for dinner. They treated us...and it was a nice evening.
A perfect spot for Pub food or outstanding German fare.
Home by 9...ready for some couch time! I had a rough day (socializing).
Night all.

Mmmmmmm Rohrback's. Did you have the cheddar cheese soup?
You're fortunate to have so many interesting shops and restaurants - we're a bit of retail wasteland here - nothing but chains and strip malls. Small, unique retail shops are few and far between.
Such a fun story with the camera and the stop! A great outing, with great images...and pub food is SO comforting...looks like such a cosy one there...!

Social butterflies, Lori ?????????
What a lovely day you had! I suspect there is nobody in town that you don't know with all your socializing and that warms my heart to read about!
You definitely have the most active social life I anyone I "know". :) I would have loved a fire, but no one wanted to go get wood in the rain so we piled on some blankets for our movie.
