WE HIT THE JACKPOT!

This morning I got out of bed because of what the clock said...not because of the light.

I let the dogs out around 6:30 and it looked like this.

After 7, things started to pop.

The sun was putting a yellow tint on the pups.

At 7:30 I went out to the barn...clear blue with jet streams.

Dream's suite was glowing.

Taking off their sheets was a no brainer.

I put the hay in one of the small pastures.

Talk about blue....

I love taking shots through the run-in...they look matted.

I picked the paddock and the pasture, then I cranked up the lawn tractor and dragged the indoor. Got in just a little before noon.

By this time the sun had moved and our bedroom had a soft look.

Just before my class I looked out and saw Dream taking a snooze in the pasture.

For her to be down with the other horses in there, was quite a statement.

She has definitely reached her comfort zone.

PC wanted the grass on the outside of the fence.

Class started at 1:30, and the dogs were happy to perform for Tina.

Dick was there today and has finished up another painting.

Mel made an amazing discovery!!!! He found a print shop in Lima and had copies made of his recent work.

Unbelievable! Excellent quality! Guess what the price was (11x17). $1.00 each!!!!

I'll be there on Monday!!! A coffee table book of some of my favorite photographs would make me real happy!

After class I had to get back outside. Below is a before shot of one of our gardens.

Gary spent hours cutting wood. On Friday he is having surgery on his foot and will be out of commission for awhile. I will certainly miss all of his help (filling water buckets, dumping the wheelbarrows, helping with stalls). He should be on crutches at the beginning, and who knows when he will be able to put on a shoe. I'm going to have to drive him down to Java when he is up to going out.

Around 5 I had a visit from a neighbor who is looking for a place to retire a horse she will be taking on. After the tour, we ate dinner and then I went out to do chores.

It was just too beautiful to put them in earlier.

PC knew there were carrots in my little bucket.

Let me tell you....they were all filthy except for pony.

I had to curry them before they went in....PC's hair was coming out like crazy.

Tucked them in around 7 and picked the pasture. Fortunately, it dried up pretty well.

Now, I want to crawl into bed and see if I can stay awake to watch "The Good Wife."

Night all.

Good luck, Gary----not fun to be out of commission---relax, read a lot and let Lori care for you just as Jim has done for me----Sara

We had beautiful sun today too, and mudball horses as well! But I'll definitely take it!

For a second I thought you won big with a Powerball ticket:-) Maybe a glorious sunny day is worth more.

Breathtaking photos of the sun and sky! And the corn beef and cabbage above doesn't look bad either...

Another full day. Wonderful photos, too.
I'm still trying to figure out why Gary had foot surgery. At least I know that it wasn't emergency surgery from an accident, though :)
