There was no brilliant sky to photograph today...dull, but relatively mild.
Abbe was trying to communicate with Gucci.
I spent most of the day on my butt (near the fire...of course). Stayed inside until it was time for evening chores. Watched a little of the Olympics as I tried to stay awake.
Louise called and invited us to dinner...
Before I knew it, chore time arrived. Masterpiece was in the front of the line.
As it stays light longer, I put them in for the night later. Tonight it was almost 6pm.
Chow time. I have an announcement to make. Dream has eaten all of her morning grain three days in a row. This is good, as she would always leave some. On the 19th, she will have been here for two months...time has flown and she has adjusted very well.
Excuse me, I have to watch Apollo skate! By a fluke, he came in 2nd (2 skaters went down). And can this kid dance!
Got the ponies in quickly as I still had to take a shower.
In the house at 6:10 and had to fly! Took a shower (I made a salad before going out) and we were off to Apple Creek Farm.
Louise and Jack had flowers blooming all over the place.
My orchids have no blossoms, and theirs are making a comeback.
Beautiful....
Out to dinner two nights in a row (and invited out tomorrow night too).
A valentine dinner...check out the chandelier....
We started off with drinks and a few treats. I don't drink wine or beer or whatever...prefer sparkling water with fruit.
The fire was very inviting.
assorted olives...
and cheeses were the starters.
For dinner....I brought a salad (mango, oranges, bananas, romaine and gorganzola cheese).
Louise made braised cabbage...
meatloaf....
multi grain rolls (from Weggies)...
baked potatoes and sour cream.
Dessert! a zuchini chocolate cake....
served to Gary with the "works."
Home by 9:30....
May you all have a happy valentine's day.
Think red!
Night all.

This post is filled with so many of my favorite things.
Horses, dogs, good food, good friends, a warm fire, sparkle water and orchids.
Have fun watching the Olympics...I'm watching them too.
It's exhilarating.
What a romantic table setting. How did you get the fire purple?
Mmm, Lori, your photos make me want to stroke the horses(or is it pat - not sure, not knowing horses) smell the beautiful blooms and taste the yummy food. Thanks for your kind wishes over at my blog for my birthday. (((Hugs))) Jo
Glad Dream has settled in so well! Love the nose in the door!
I see that you had a beautiful Valentine's out. Lucky you. The restaurant looks super and I love the decorations.
Have a great weekend.
MMMMMMMM! Everything that I love-the color read, food, a fire in the fireplace, food, horses, food, friends, and that salad looks absolutely delicious! Looks like a great ending to the day.
I love the get togethers you have with your friends!
Oh my goodness! Where'd his cake go? lol! Looks delish!
Your food photos and flower photos are just gorgeous! What a fun night out.
And glad to read that Dream is doing so well and settling in there. Everyone looks great, but I bet they can't wait until all the snow is gone and Spring arrives finally. :-)

You got off your butt to go to dinner - hooray! Just kidding - but that sounds like you're lazy and I know better than that. Such a beautiful day....yet again.
So glad Dream has come around.
Dinner looks wonderful...great hosts you had for Valentines.
