“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” — Elliott Erwitt

It's been awhile since you were able to take a look into Christina's World. If you are new to my Journal, you need to know that these photographs were taken by my good friend Tina. She is a great photographer and I enjoy showing off her work.

One of her favorite subjects is birds (when she is not busy taking shots of DJ).

  1. Smashing shots of the woodpecker. It looks a little like our great spotted woodpecker. Do you know what sort that one is?
    Cheers, Mike and Ann.

  2. Hi Mike & Ann,
Hope that this will be a way for you to get my message. That's the female red bellied woodpecker. In one of the shots you can see the red on her belly. Of course the male is even prettier. The red on his head reaches all the way to his bill. I hope he'll be around soon.
    Warm Regards,
    Tina (of Christina's World)

  3. Lovely photos the woodpecker (I thnk) and the squirre.

  4. Thank you, Tina. Message received. It's a beautiful bird. Not one we have over here.
    Thanks again. Mike and Ann.
