GROUNDED...

A little bit of color this morning...still pretty mild (don't get me wrong, it's not like we are having a heatwave).

The pups and I went out to the barn and Gary joined us by the time I gave the horses their grain.

I have found that putting the hay along the West fenceline works great. They are more protected from the wind and are evenly separated.

Gar brought in the pellets I bought yesterday....

Ultimately, they are a lot better than shavings (but the price is right for a truckload of sawdust).

Unless it is really awful outside (bad enough for the horses to come in), I like to set up the evening hay in the morning...and always shake it out. Picky...picky. Finished up by 9:15 and headed back to the house....where I stayed all day. Grounded! I never left the property.

The snowman built by Karen and Julie is hanging in there.

So are the icicles that are melting off the roof of the back porch.

This afternoon I brought Bermuda in for a couple of hours. He was actually quiet for the last 30 minutes.

He got a good brushing, and I took these pictures for the Coyote from Philly.

She doesn't think Bermuda gets on the Journal enough.

Messed around with settings on my new camera and took the next few shots.

These flowers sure brighten up the kitchen.

I should really save the next one for Macro Monday.

Gary spent most of the day painting the woodwork in the bedroom...the second coat will go on tomorrow and then I can set it up. I love doing interiors.

Gucci was pretty quiet today...

and so was the queen.

Went out to do chores a little before 6. It was still light.

But not for long.

Pretty dark by 6:30.

Dinner? Left over potato/cheddar/bacon soup and an English muffin with PB & J. Pretty exciting. Now, I am going to take a hot shower and wait for Apollo to race. Night all.

A big "hello" to Mike over in England. Hope you are having a speedy recovery! If I lived closer I would bring over some chicken soup.

Wow! I'm amazed that you're painting a bedroom in the winter. The paint fumes would be too strong for me. I'd have to wait until Spring when the windows could be open.

Wow! That icicle photo is gorgeous! Has an interesting abstract art look to it.

Nicely done!

Gary does an excellent job painting. Wish I had him here working for me!

We are staying lighter every day and I love it (the best part about living here in AK). I would do a post, but my son has my camera in his car at his friends' house so I don't have my photos! :(
