Shopping

Yet another grey day in the low 40s.  Perfect for rolling in the mud.

After chores my friend Mary R. stopped in and we caught up on the latest.  When she left we drove to Batavia for lunch and to buy a new kitchen stove.  We stopped at Main Street Pizza and the wait was half an hour, so we decided to go find a stove first.  Went back and there was still a 30 minute wait.  Gary knew of another restaurant a couple blocks away, so we decided to give it a shot.  Bourbon Burgers.  I had never been there before.  So what happened?  It took almost 45 minutes to get our meal.  People sure are going out to eat!

Here's the stove.  A Maytag 5 burner with an air fryer.  Very substantial compared to our old one.  We should get it delivered and installed on Thursday.  On Wednesday the wood burning stove in the kitchen should be back together so this is going to be a busy few days.

Back home and did nothing until chores.  Definately not making dinner.

Janet and I are in a groove now, getting hay nets set for morning.
Rebel still looked very good tonight....did not see any lameness.
Little Wonder was back to normal today and he did not have to wear his black coat outside.

Can't beat  the coziness of lights in the barn when it's dark.

Tonight we are going to hang out by the fire in the living room and watch the Bills game.
Night all.

Gas hobs, and an air fry, that looks the best. I marvel at the long waits at restaurants, maybe it is the time to be out.

I've never tried air fry and still have an old fashioned stove. But that looks nice. I wonder too if the long waits at restaurants are from a shortage of servers and workers?

It has reached the point I rarely go out for dinner or lunch anymore because the quality of the food isn’t that great even in the finer restaurants. Our service is good though when out. Making a lot more meals at home.

Dear Lori, Hope you enjoy your new range as much as I've been enjoying the new washing machine I was able to purchase in November. The one I was using let me know that after 25 years, it was time to let go. The message: it simply stopped in mid-spin one day. But 25 years of service! Wow! Hope your range works well and delights you just as this new LG washer does here. No agitation means that many more clothes can be in a load. Peace from Dee and the cats. And Happy 2023!

Fire in the kitchen! We also don't eat out anymore. It's so expensive! Those boys do know how to get dirty. Nice stove!
