Thanks for introducing the herd! You must take amazing care of your animals to have some as old as you do. Kudos!
cutest horses ever! your photos are lovely
Beautiful pictures. Your horses all have so much peace in their eyes. Because they're happy, of course.
Are you a dressager? Got a few warmbloods there.
I just visit to see what stunning header photo you have!
Great shots, I love the Pony of the Americas, enough that I am going to have to research that.
Love the pictures of all your horses. They all look so well cared for and loved. How did you get them so clean, ours are still muddy pigs most of the time.
Very nice shots. Loved meeting the herd. Have you had these horses all their lives?
Louise - I am Miss Back Yard. For years I did take classical dressage lessons from Linda Johnson LeGrand. I had to be the least experienced person she ever worked with, but learned a lot. Not interested in showing but I love musical freestyle (and warmbloods).
Gail - I'm glad you like the header shot.
The Pony of the Americas is not a very old breed. They have a lot of Appy in them and are usual smaller than a horse...Abbe is 14.3.
Grey Horse - My horses are only clean when it is dry out there. Today we have rain and cold temps so they have their sheets on.
dibear - We have had Masterpiece since he was 20 months old.
Babe's Opal (Pony) since she was around 18 months old.
Berlin was born here.
Abbe has been here since she was about 2 years old.
Dream belongs to a friend (Barb KS)
and she has had her for about 20 years.
King Mustafa just got here April 1st. He was just purchased by Barb P. who is helping me with chores! YEY!
Over the years we have lost Shadow 22 (black Quarter Horse), Marieke 19(Anglo-Trakehner and Berlin's Dam), Joe (Randy's Belgian)32, Shennandoah (Appendix Quarter Horse/Preliminary Event horse that I retired for some friends-she was 36), and last June, Jenny's Thoroughbred, Target 26. Colic was the enemy for 3 of them.
I love your horse retirement farm. They all look so happy.
Great, great shots! The first two are my favorites but love seeing all the horses!
Such lucky horses to have you to care for them all their lives. They certainly look happy and healthy in their old age. By the way, love your music.
Very nice. Love the shot of King Mustafa with his harem below. He looks like a king for sure!
Masterpiece looks like he has quite a comfy home there!
Great gallery!
I love old horses. Yours are just to die for. How precious!
Your horses are just beautiful. Thanks for introducing us.
Great shots! Is that last one in the living room??:-)
They are all so beautiful. A wonderful selection of potluck photos. My fave is Dream with the red barn as his frame. :)

Violet Sky and Ed...
Masterpiece is in the grooming room having his feet trimmed by the farrier. That lamp you see is on a tack trunk and is one that you touch to turn on. He knows how to do that. When we bought the farm, this space was used to repair cars. We put in a couple of stalls and set it up with all our tack etc. Works well, especially when several of us are in there at once.
Beautiful photos of all the horses! Love the barn shot too!
Great collection of your horses! Opal and Masterpiece look fantastic at their age!
very pastoral and lovely!
Thank you for introducing the horses! I'd been wondering what breed some of them are. They are all beautiful and I loved the pictures.
