We warmed up to the 40s today, even tho
it was very crispy when I went out to the barn
this morning.
Two new blossoms and still more buds waiting to burst.
It's so nice to have some color.
At two I headed in to Brockport. Ran a couple errands and ended
up at St. Lukes for the first winter concert presented by the
Greater Brockport Development Corporation. This is the group
Gary is in and they also produce Summer Serenades at
the Welcome Center.
Today the guest artist was Jacob Fuhrman, an organist.
It was inspired by this pipe organ that has quite a story.
It was built in the 80s, not too far from here....in Bristol.
For many years it was in a church and ended up in Texas.
An anonymous donor purchased it and gave it to St. Lukes.
Brenda Trembly is the musical director for St. Lukes as well
as a DJ on our local NPR/Classical WXXI radio station.
Here she is with Jacob. Both are very accomplished
at what they do. It was a great opportunity for those in the audience
who may have or not heard a performance of this quality.
There was a reception after the concert concluded.
I did not get home until 5:30 as I stopped to get a pizza for dinner.
Then I rushed around and went out to do evening chores.
An easy dinner when the pups and I got back in the house.
It will look like this for the duration of the evening.
Night all.

The 40's, only about 4C or so for us down here, way too cold. What a magnificent organ and wonderful recital.
The pups look so sweet with their coats on. I am looking forward to spring and I am sure you are too.
