Very Fine Dining!

We woke up to about 5 inches of very light and fluffy snow.
 It did involve some shoveling.

The wind was pretty crazy last night.

The light was much better this morning...now you can really see this blossom.

It was in the low 20s and with the wind, much colder than that.
Fortunately, the sun came out for a little while.

The amaryllis blossoms are starting to fade.

Not to be confused with this plant.
After chores I spent much of the day by the fire.
My buddies were right there with me.

Tonight we drove in to Charlotte to have dinner with Ed and Lisa.
Gary has been cleaning up some of our old fence boards (vintage-1981)
and we brought 8 of them with us, as Ed is going to start working on
our dining room table tomorrow.
Their home is gorgeous!
Ed made this dining room table.
Actually, after they bought the house 14 years ago, they added their touch
to every single room (one at a time).

(He also made the coffee table below and the secretary above)
We started off with Lisa's homemade pepper jelly, some of their pimento
cheese and crackers.  Delicious.

See the ceramic piece on the lazy Susan in the middle of the table?
Lisa designed it and had it made in Italy.  It works!
What a feast!  And beautifully presented.

We got home a little after 9, full of food and good conversation.
Can't wait to see how our table is going to turn out!

Night all.

Snow predicted for us this weekend - At least that's what the weathermen say, we'll see what happens.

I do hope all is well, and that your Friday has been just as enjoyable as your Thursday.
