MUUUGGGGYYYYYY....

Head 'um up...

move 'um out.... It's chore time.

This is the cart I brought home yesterday...I left it out in the rain for a good washing. It needs a lot of work, but I am excited about getting it in shape. Sanding, staining etc.....

Gar helped me this morning, so we were done early and headed down to the Village to see what was going on at the Arts Festival.

Main Street was jammed with vendors so we had to park out back.
When we arrived, everyone was getting ready for a 10am opening.
I started off at the Market. Got peaches, plums, apricots, green beans and lots of tomatoes.

Several of the vendors were selling glads. We used to grow them and they were sold out front from a little stand (the honor method).

This is a little shop called FAST BUCK FANNIES. It really caters to high school and college kids.
The shops below do very well during this festival, as thousands of people show up for the event and go in their stores while they are visiting over 100 vendors. Here is a sampling of what was for sale.

On the way home we stopped for lunch at the Golden Eagle and ran in to some of our favorite retirees from the college. So humid, it felt good to be in air conditioning.

When we got home, I pulled out some of our onions and Gary hung them from the ceiling on the back porch. I love the way they look.

There is a grid over this window in the grooming room...I thought it would be fun to shoot through it.

I washed all my dirty towels and put them back there. As you can see, it is full of harness parts, my surcingle and much more....

A down home dinner tonight! Beans, hot dogs and coleslaw....

Followed by a gigantic bowl of fresh fruit.

Gorgeous skies ...the calm before the next storm.

It's starting to thunder...have to go put the horses in. Night all...

I can't wait to hear about your progress with the cart. Will you post pictures and keep us up to speed on how it's going?

Nice looking cart. Can't wait to see how it looks after you fix it up. Art fair looks like it had a lot of things to look at. There was a big art fair here this weekend. It's juried and most of the artists make more their on one weekend than they make the rest of the year so it was unfortunate that the weather wasn't very good.

What a great day. Every time you photo your dinner the food looks so delicious my mouth starts watering. Love the "We don't skinny dip, we chunky dunk" sign - have a version of it . . . too true!

That cart of yours is gonna be gorgeous. Do you know anything about its history. There ya go, I know so little about driving, I'm thinking carts must be antiques.

Looking forward to learning more through you and Abbe.

That was a fun, full and exhausting day I bet. The festival looks like a lot of nice people and things to browse.
