Another cold night followed by a day full of sunshine.
This was the first day of voting for this area and we were down at the Rec Center before noon. By that time 300 people had already voted. If that keeps up, it's going to be record breaking.
From there, we drove down to the Village so I could find a birthday gift for a gorgeous girl who turned 1 today. We found it at the Lift Bridge Book Shop.
Very quiet today.
Got back to the farm for lunch and then Little Wonder and I went outside for awhile.
Today we received the sweetest card from Steph. She is an aide at a school in Kansas City, working with special needs kids...and when they are in art class she likes to do the projects with them. Always the artist.
This is the first time we have been to our neighbors house. I met John when I was on a trike ride and today he invited us to his daughter's birthday celebration (along with our next door neighbors) so we could meet Rosie and their daughter Clarissa (along with many of the friends and family members).
Home by 3:30 and got things ready for dinner as Mary Pat (here from North Carolina) was going to join us. Around 4 Jenny and Scott stopped in and MP followed them in the driveway. Perfect timing!
When she was starting to teach in Brockport....Jenny was in her very first class (first grade). That should tell you how long we have known each other.
Gary grilled shish ke bobs
and I made rice two ways....my version and their version. They did not have to follow my diet.
We also had a salad and grilled Italian bread. So good.
By 7:30 Mary Pat was on her way to stay with friends on one of the Finger Lakes. Another short and very sweet visit.
Please don't forget to vote.
Night all.
