THE LONG LONG TRAILER (POST)

We had some heat on this very busy day.

Chores as usual, then a quick shower and was picked up by Lori S. to go down to the Farmer's Museum for the Harvest Festival gig.

When we got there, we set everything up and listened to the fiddler who played before us.

Several friends came to listen.

I was too busy to take some videos, but friends posted them on FB.
Brenda Cretney had a show in the barn and I loved her new painting of Donny Grentzinger and one of Harris Wilcox's Morgans (from many years ago).
Al was there with his birds and a couple other carvers.
The grounds were well set up.

Pony rides were very popular.
I would love to have come home with one of these apple pies that were in a contest.  I have no clue as to which one won.

These three kids played after we finished.  No music, no nothing.  They were great.

They had non stop tours through the cemetery on a big hay wagon.

Home by 2 and I was tired.
Janet and I did chores early

as we were off to the BEST Farm to Table Dinner, which is a fundraiser for giving extra support to students in our public school.
Rich and Joan were at the check in table.

There was music...

and we indulged in some appetizers.

The greenhouse always looks gorgeous when the table is set.

Home by 8:30 after a very pleasant evening supporting a good cause.
Night all.

Music, food and friends, nothing better. It reminds me of the days of my first year at High School, when I played the violin in the school orchestra. You have the most supportive community ,and each event has its own speciality .

Your music was very nice to sit outside and listen to while we watched the kids on pony rides and enjoyed a hot dog for lunch from the Lions Club. I waved to you on stage as we left as had errands to get to or We would have stayed till the end. It was a wonderful community event to attend. Kathy
