The March....Stand up!

Another sunny start to the day and still crispy.
I managed to clean the stalls and found that the cold air definately helps...
I don't cough.

Before going back in the house I sat on the porch of Gary's shed and
tried to absorb some vitamin C.

For much of the day I watched the March.
I truly believe that politicos running for office in 2018 are going to be met with the highest voter turnout in history.  If they are willing to take money from the NRA
they are going to be outed and these kids will be a force to be reckoned with.
In all my life, I have never experienced an atmosphere like this in our country.
As an elected official I don't think it is proper to make too many public statements....
but I do believe it is time for all of us to stand up and be heard.  It seems fair to say that most of us want our children and grandchildren to feel safe and know they have a future. Some of the negativity has been deplorable.  Don't those people have children?
Martin Luther King's granddaughter was one of my favorites.
Such poise and a message that would have made him proud.

Many of my friends were marching in different parts of the country.
Another event I had to miss.

I had the need for some soup, so I threw some veggies in a pot
and made some minestrone.  That and a long hot shower improved things for awhile.
This coughing is getting very old.  So glad I don't have a sore throat or fever.
I went out to do evening chores (in my pajamas) while Gary went down to Ralph and Rosie's for some subs.  The animals need to be fed, no matter how I feel!

About 70 per cent of the snow has melted.  When it hits the 50s
next week, that should do it.
Night all.

Glad you are feeling better and I made a batch of minestrone today too. Delicious on a cold snowy day here.

I agree that these kids are the future and anyone taking money from the NRA is being put on notice and they better start paying attention.
Hope you get better soon.
