When is this weather going to stop being so crazy? My outdoor arena was flooded again...looked like a lake, and the water kept pouring in.
The horses just had to stay in this morning. So, I picked the stalls and reset up the water and hay. They are not used to this at all.
The dogs stayed in the house so L'orange Marmalade surfaced.
By the time I got back to the house it was snowing. Let the dogs run around in the yard
for a few minutes.
Before long, the puddles disappeared.
Chorus started at 10. We had a great rehearsal today.
On the way home, driving was a little difficult. The streets felt like they were covered with grease...particularly in the village where no plowing had been done.
When I got home, I let the horses out (had to switch from sheets to their winter Rambos). Put hay all over the place.
Had to go to the bank and Wegmans...decided to reclean the stalls when I got home.
The snow was very heavy.
By 3 the sun was trying to show itself.
After starting on dinner, I went out to do evening chores. Of course I had to reclean the stalls and set everything up again. Fortunately it didn't take that long.
For dinner, we had a salad....the winter version (no great tomatoes from the garden).
I made a pasta sauce using sweet Italian sausage and red peppers. Such great flavor.
Gary had to go to the Alumni House to help set up a Christmas Tree and I vegged/talked on the phone.
My buddies are all pretty mellow in the evening. They love the stove as much as I do.
Time for me to put some logs on the fire.
Night all. It seems that winter has arrived.
