TO THE BEACH...

I got up early so I could finish chores and still get Ann out to the Saddle Fitting Clinic before 9.
Never did post my Skywatch pictures. Barb came over and was a big help as usual. The farrier arrived at 11 to do King Mustafa's feet and he was a very good boy.
Got almost everything done and Barb picked up the slack. In a little before Ann came downstairs and got her breakfast ready. She had an English Muffin, Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Tea, a little OJ and some fruit.
When we got in the car to leave, Seymour was checking us out through the screen.

The first horse (Finnegan) had some saddle fitting problems and his back was sore.
Within an hour the problem was solved with a Euro Mattes Pad. He is now ridden with a hackamore and was outstanding while Maureen rode him.
Andrea instructs Maureen and had a lot of input during the session.

Next up...an Arabian stallion. He was adorable, but I had to leave and did not see what happened.

Got home and did a few things around the house before we left for Hamlin Beach State Park...a 50th anniversary celebration.
Wouldn't you know that Topper was there taking pictures of me taking pictures of him.

Richard and Joan were truly surprised.
Everyone was asked to bring an appetizer and they had the rest catered by Jimmy Z's (a local hot dog joint in Brockport...you know...garbage plates and all that).

This is Mark. He is their older son. He has had a Walking Show on PBS, is concerned about health, green and the environment....travels all over the country and is one heck of a good public speaker.
Below is his brother's wife, who was telling us a story about how her husband's band opened for Bon Jovi (in Texas).
Several of their friends drove up from Connecticut...quite a surprise.
Rob and Mark did a great job organizing the event.
50 years! Wow.

Got home late and had forgotten to soak the hay cubes and beet pulp. I could hardly keep my eyes open, I was so tired.
Barb arrived with a load of sawdust, so I went out eventually, and helped her unload it. I don't know where she gets all her energy.
The stalls looked great.

Tonight the sky was glowing.

How does that look for nice footing?

Let the kitties out in the back yard for awhile. They seem to love it.
It was almost dark.
Have to go put the horses in before I fall asleep.

Night all.

The anniversary party looks like it was a lot of fun.

I wish I had all that sawdust stored for this winter for the chicken coop. I still haven't checked into it. I am afraid of the price.
