Going Out....Coming In

We are still on a roll with the weather.

Rebel was waiting for me this morning and was looking pretty good.
While he and Buddy finished their breakfast I got the grooming room ready for them and the farrier....duh!  The wrong day.  She's coming tomorrow.

No boot and Rebel was moving well on the way out for some grass.

After chores I was going for a mask hunt and the old John Deere had a dead battery.  Got out the jumper cables and charged it from the new JD.  Found the mask but did not find the green pad Rebel lost yesterday,

The political signs can be put out now so we are doing our part.

Gar picked a new bouquet for the kitchen table.

I went out to the front paddock and started trimming some low hanging branches that needed to be cut down.  Our hay delivery guy broke the branch while he was turning the hay wagon.  After running a bunch of errands, Gary went out with a ladder to cut the big part of the branch down.  While he was doing that, Scott just happened to pull in and saw Gary on the ladder.  Didn't he have one of those big long branch cutting chain saw things on his truck.  In five minutes he had everything trimmed up!

At two, a friend stopped over to try my trike.  She is thinking about getting one and it takes a little getting used to.  They are so much safer than a traditional bicycle and mine must be approaching 10 years old.
She had loaned me some boots for Rebel (which I never used) so we went out to the grooming room to get them.  Buddy and Rebel saw the door opened and walked right into their stalls, thinking it was a bonus spa day.
They ate a little hay while we talked and went back out.
Gary got the first coat of stain on the front porch.  It's going to look so much better.

Chores a little after 7.  Rebel came in looking good.  I still don't get it, but appreciate the break for both of us.

I mowed the front paddock this morning to charge up the battery on the old JD.
This is the tree after it was trimmed.  So much better!

Beautiful sunset.
Night all.

When I was at the bike shop, the guy showed me an E-assisted trike they had. It was pretty amazing and looked sturdy too.
I'm not quite ready for a trike yet, but it could be in my future!

Rebel sure seems to be a mystery doesn't he?

I wouldn't dare put out a political sign here, I worry about potential violence. It's very red around here. Rebel is a mystery. Today is farrier day, then? Good luck. I thought of getting a trike but then realized it would not work. All the roads are gravel and the landscape is rolling. So, no trike.
