Hopeful

Plenty of sunshine with a little more humidity.

Rebel was good this morning.  He got his boot off in the stall last night and went out bare today.

Why Rebel picked this spot to roll, I'll never know.

After chores Gary picked a lot of raspberries and I grabbed some rhubarb.

Friends were stopping up for some veggies so we did some gathering.

The Fentons son and his wife are visiting and we saw them at the college event yesterday.  We invited them up to share our bounty with them.  They were both very interested in tasting some real tomatoes and wanted to meet the horses.
Once again, Buddy and Rebel walked into the grooming room when the door was open...thinking it was yet another Spa Day.  They got in their stalls and were fed some carrots and apples, and enjoyed the attention.
This is Robbie.  He went to school in Brockport as a child and was in the same class as Stephanie.
His wife, Sue was born in Texas and that's where they live.

After visiting Rebel and Buddy we went on a tour.  Robbie is in a band and Gary wants them to come to Brockport for Summer Serenades and a major canal celebration.  Sounds like we would also have a private party with them in the indoor if it can all be worked out.  Of course we talked a lot about music.  The band he is in (Zack King Band) has a lot of neat gigs....they even opened for Bon Jovi.

We loved spending time with them and before they left, we gave them a big puff ball to take home.
Such a very sweet couple!
I made and ate a real dinner tonight and so far have survived it.  Chicken made in the crock pot, mashed potatoes and a little salad with some beets (and of course I slipped in some applesauce, 'cause that's what my body is asking for).
Chores at 7:15.

Jenny made a quick stop with Scott to pick up a Swedish/English dictionary as she will be going to Sweden with her boss and a 30 person delegation.  It should be a great experience.
Night all.
