Plenty of sunshine and plenty of bugs.
Rebel and Buddy were back in the run-in before I finished cleaning the stalls so I set them up with some hay. Way too buggy and it was not even 9am.
After chores I pushed the John Deere up by the house and got out a hose and a bucket of hot water so I could get it nice and clean for the pick up tomorrow.
Then I made a pot of sauce with about 40 meatballs and put it in a crockpot. Jenny called and wondered if we could have strawberry shortcake for dinner....so I picked over a quart.
The table was all set....Gary vacuumed....
and at 6pm Jenny, Scott, Finn and Coop arrived. We sat down for dinner and had roasted potatoes
a salad made from our own lettuce...
and homemade meatball subs.
Comfort food. And Finn said the roasted potatoes were better than any french fries he has ever eaten.
Jenny and Scott worked all day and she got Cooper to make biscuits for the shortcake!
We have been having strawberries everyday and there are still more out there.
Jenny joined me for evening chores. Gnats. Gnats, and more Gnats!
Then Finn came out to the barn with their dog...Buster.
Two very sweet ponies....
Love spending time with these guys. Wish Steph and Joe lived closer and we could kidnap Ariana and Daniela.

Those yummy berries, looks delicious, all of it.I have begun to do potato wedges in an air fryer, so easy and as good or better than bought ones. The JD looks like brand new!!!

The mules like walking through the brush and under tree branches to brush the bugs off from their bodies!

I would happily have joined you for dinner. Mark doesn't even know how to turn on a vacuum. It's not his fault, I'm sort of controlling about some things. That is a beautiful family!
