Just as I was finishing chores, the farrier arrived to trim Berlin and Abbe.
My friend Judy (from Florida) is in town for a few days and stopped over so we could go out to lunch. We went to a townie restaurant in Bergen and caught up with what has been going on in our lives. So good to see her.
When we got back to the farm we picked some rhubarb for her to take back home.
See that truck? It's loaded with chemicals that get sprayed on crops. I'm so glad they are not working the 5 acres next to our property.
I worked on the computer for a couple of hours, then went down to the village for a haircut.
Afterward, made a quick stop a Rite Aid and saw that market umbrellas were on sale...50% off!
Got a new one for the table by the studio in lime green. Should look pretty nice when Gary finishes painting.
Another friend is in town for a few days....Mary Pat.
My favorite model.
Several of us were invited to Linda H's house so we could chow and chat.
We started off with some fruit, cheese and crackers....
(see those peppers? They had lemon juice and coarse sea salt on them...good idea!)
and ended with a fabulous taco salad. I absolutely have to start making these again.
I had to leave early so I could get over to the college.
There was a huge awards presentation/event and Finn was getting inducted into the
Excelsior Society (like an honor society at the Middle School).
All the kids in the photo below were inducted with him.
I was very impressed when the principal announced that out of over 700 students,
49% of them were being recognized tonight. Not too shabby!!!
Very proud of this young man. He's a great student and an outstanding jock.
The ceremony was over around 8:30 and I was happy to get back outside. The temperature must have been at least 90 in the gym.
A dramatic sunset on my way home.
Night all.

Busy day! Congratulations to Finn. He's an awesome boy. My granddaughter just had moving up exercises to 6th grade. The school was so hot it must have been over 100. I was glad nobody passed out! Pretty flowers.
We love your first picture horsie head. And we are suddenly starving
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
