Squalls

As a protest to winter, I will be posting at least one picture of a flower everyday until the snow goes away.  Do you want to join me?

These tulips have been sitting on my dining room table since last week.  It is very rare that we don't have flowers in our house.

As for today....this morning was so much warmer (if you can call the teens warmer) than yesterday.  My hands did not get frozen for the first time in days.

 We had grey skies, sun, flurries and squalls.

 Gary went to yoga and came back to get me for our chorus rehearsal.  We have a performance next week and are in high gear.

A few days ago, when Gary was driving down to Java, he stopped at a cross walk (the law) and didn't a kid rear end his van.  Needless to say, someone was not too happy and the person who hit him found that out.  Today the repairs were finished, so after lunch we headed back to Brockport to pick it up.  At the farm, the sun was bright...3 minutes later it was snowing like crazy as we were approaching our destination.

 This happens all the time.  On the way home, as soon as I went up the hill (only one in town) the snow disappeared.

 Obviously it never got as far as our house.

 Love those west windows in the afternoon.

 Sidney found is spot for the day.

 Chores at 5:30.  It was one of the best parts of the day.

 The deer must be on the same schedule as me, as they were out back again and the horses repeated yesterdays performance.

 They were really feeling their cheerios tonight and must realize that spring (ha ha) is only 15 days away.  Tucked them in and was on my way.

 A Saint Tim salad with oranges, bananas and craisins along with

 red lentil soup.

 (Saint Tim!  Did you notice that white stuff on the salad?  Your leftover R. dressing!)

PJs and the fire are next on the agenda.

How Many Days Are There In March?

Why do we have so many that are 20 degrees below the average temperature.

-9 with the windchill (on Karen's phone) this morning.  Pure bliss!

 There was a small window of time around 6:30 when the sky was pinky red.  It only last for a few minutes and changed to a murky grey.

Same old, same old chores.

 Class today.  All were working on different projects.

 Remember the faces Joanne started drawing?  She got into the book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain," ordered it at the bookstore....and today she worked on upside down drawings.

 She gets it and is moving right along.

 Jean brought a big box of cards she had printed recently.

 They were made from her drawings and photographs.

 Tina continued to work on her mixed media project....Tabby.

I love taking pictures every class so my students can see how their work develops.

Spent the afternoon trying to get a poster ready for our Art Show at A Different Path Gallery.  I could not get it to go from Word to an email in an open format until 5 phone calls later when my techie friend Roger set me straight.  If all the people showing send it to their friends, we should have a good crowd at the opening.  Thank you Roger.

Chores a little after 5.  At least it warmed up into the teens.

 All of a sudden the horses headed to the back pasture....

 there must have been at least 20 deer by the hedge row.

 Set up their dinner and tucked them in for the night.

Once again, Gary made a salad and we had left over pork and rice from last night.

 Tomorrow is another day.

Gary went to Albany today so I picked up the boys after school and brought them back to the farm.

 Made some lomain and a fruit salad...Jenny and Scott brought Chinese.  We feasted.

Gary got home just in time to partake.
