Yay! Sidney is Home!

Fortunately the weather has been a little milder for the past few days.  Sidney has been missing for over three of them and mid morning I could hear his meow at the kitchen door.  We have looked all over for him and don't have a clue as to where he has been.  He is gimpy in his front left leg and I don't know why.    So glad he found his way home.

The sunrise was beautiful, but later it turned grey and by late afternoon it was near 50. Much of the snow on the driveway has melted but it's going to be black ice time when it freezes again.

I'm still working on that chicken I roasted a couple days ago and made some chicken salad for lunch.
There's enough for a couple more days.
After Sidney had his fill of food, he went into the bedroom, where he likes to spend hours on the bed, and somehow got up there.  I brought in a nice fluffy number that Little Wonder never sleeps in, so he would have the option of being on the floor.  He found it and has been sleeping there for over 7 hours.  Hopefully if he goes outside I can get him back in here for the night.  Sweet boy.

Little Wonder had the regular bed all to himself.

Of course the fire drew us into the kitchen.

He snoozed and I made another batch of that Lasagna Alfredo Soup.  Had all the ingredients so it was time for a replay.

A tomato salad sounded good and I added some of the bean salad that was made a couple days ago (as I had three jars of it in the frig).  Superb!  Also grilled a couple ciabatta rolls.

Can't complain.
Night all.

Sidney, you really need to stay inside tonight. That bed looks so comfy. Lots of snow, have you found with the border blockages anything is in short supply? Down here, the protestors are still on the lawn in the Parliament grounds, in spite of torrential rain and strong wind warnings. Roads are still blocked, and ambulances cannot reach those in need.

Aww Sidney needs to stay in and rest up. They lose their strength during survival outside. Poor baby. It took me a couple years but I won’t let my cat outside. It would never survive with the coyotes I hear. We won’t even let the dogs go out by themselves and stay right with them when they poddy. I made your lasagna Alfredo soup and it is good. Tonight we made meatloaf and roasted potatoes. Kathy

Glad Sidney showed up he looks very comfy in that bed.

Yes we went from slush to ice yesterday in a matter of hours. It made everything a bit more interesting. Ice cleats for chores today and for any hiking if it gets above zero.

Stay warm.

Nancy J. Have not felt that we are short of supplies yet, because of the nonsense going on at a the border. Using COVID as an excuse is pretty sad. What is the reason for displaying confederate flags etc.? Our governments are being tested by those who want to take over.
