Boy was it dark this morning when I went out to the barn at 7:30. Grey and in the high 20s all day with a little snow.
Usually, when I come in from the barn I go to my computer and check out my mail and messages. Wanted to do some online banking and !!!!!! I could not find the links or an entire section that I used on a regular basis. So, I called my go to major techie (Doug, the bass player in our band) and he said he would come over and straighten things out. Gary and I did a couple of errands and we stopped at Wegmans so I could get the ingredients to make us all a nice lunch.
Decided to make Reubens and roasted potatoes.
First, I worked on the sauerkraut....
cut some Swiss cheese....
made Russian dressing....
and then started putting everything together.
Pumpernickel bread...
and pastrami
topped the bread with the dressing....
Swiss cheese...
pastrami and sauerkraut.
Grilled them in the panini maker....
Probably the best Reubens I have made. So good.
It took 3 hours to get my computer straightened out and I still have a few more details to take care of.
Eventually it was time to hang out by the fire.
After that lunch, had no desire to make dinner, so I had eggs and toast.
Night all.

Hi Lori, Reubens are totally unknown to me but they look yummy. Does Dougie have a remote app to work on your computer? We have something called Teamviewer and my son (my go-to-techie) links onto my laptop all the way from his home 350km from mine!
