It just got hotter and hotter.
Met our band down at the Canal around 4pm to provide entertainment for the dedication of the Kayak launch. Below, is Mayor Blackman, who worked with us and was very excited about out Kayak Song.
It always takes quite awhile to set up.
When the kayaks were under the Main Street Bridge, we sang the song I posted last night.
They were so colorful!
There were several dignitaries who spoke and the demonstration was a huge success.,
We finished up at 6:45 and I hurried to get over to Summer Serenades, which started at 7. Gary introduced Zak's Pack and they played to crowd of about 200. Not bad, considering it was 87 degrees and super muggy.
I pooped out and came home before it was over.
Night all.

What a wonderful gathering, and a superb local event.
I want to learn to kayak! Looks like it was a great time! No wonder you were tired!
You have such a strong community spirit in your area and you and your husband are a big part of it. Kayaking is great fun and this new ramp/launch is quite unique.
