Cool weather brings it on.
Shortly after chores Gordon arrived to mow the pastures (buttercups).
In May, when I used our little lawn tractor, I messed up the deck....
so I thought I would give this a try.
They turned out alright, but they look even better when I do it.
While the mowing was going on, I attacked some weeds and when I was working outside the back yard, Sophie appeared. She seldom is outside that fence.
I had grand intentions of going to Agape late morning, but that did not happen.
At 1 arrived at The Center for an Association meeting. Things are really coming together.
There are a couple of volunteers now working on the grounds,
and the garden is in good shape.
Let's see....Gary planted tomatoes, peppers, beans, cucumbers, onions,
eggplant, zucchini, spinach and onions. Thank you Sara's Garden Center for
donating everything but the onions! And to think this used to be a bocce court!
Deanna (the building co-ordinator) and I had a short meeting so we could have a picture taken for the local paper. A heads up notice for our upcoming "Grand Reopening." Out of 8 shots, I'm not so sure one of them will work. We had a lot of laughs doing it. I (of course) was in my clothes for an Agape workout and she put her hair up for the photos. Fun.
After that, I took a right on Main Street
and went to Agape.
As per usual I was dripping after the elliptical.
Home by 4 and went out to pick more strawberries with Gary.
Sidney supervised.
They sure don't taste like the ones you get at the store.
All organic and bursting with flavor.
Gary went down to the park to watch Finn's ball game and I went out to tuck the girls in.
These are the flowers he brought home to plant in front of the sign we have out by the road.
Another vegetarian dinner.
Romaine topped with homemade bean salad, tomatoes and crushed corn chips...
and some pasta topped with caramelized onions, peas, a little butter, some milk and
lots of Pecorino Romano cheese...and fresh ground pepper. A 20 minute meal.
Night all.

Love the look of those strawberries! Nothing like fresh ones. The store ones are tasteless. Beautiful flowers. The center is really coming along nicely.
The first picture of the strawberries in the basket - I think that picture is just perfect. And those strawberries look delicious! One day I really AM going to invite myself over for dinner!!
