Rhythm and Blues....

A gorgeous morning.  Karen did chores as our drumming group was doing it's thing at the
Pink Ribbon Run this morning and we were there by 8:15.  It was held at Genesee Valley Park,
right on the river....and it was very cold when we started.

Jenny (who had breast cancer at 37) was there, supported by many of her Brockport friends.
The usual suspects were drumming.  We are called Umoja.
Jackie, David, me, Zak, Stan, Lee, Fred and Denny.
Today I played my sangban (with sticks) as I was not ready to stress my wrist
playing a djembe.

We had quite an impact on the participants.  Love it when they stop to dance with us.

This girl knew what she was doing!

I got back to the farm in time for lunch, then headed out for our Sunday Jam.
Next Saturday we are performing at the opening of the Erie Canal so we had to do
some serious rehearsing.  Such fun!

Finally got home a little before 4 and took it easy.
I have been binging on "Frankie and Grace" (Netflix).  So many laughs.

It rained for awhile and I thought the horses would have to go in early.  But...it cleared up
and we ate dinner before I went out to do chores.
Another big salad made with the second chicken breast I prepared the other day.
This one had chicken, apples, craisins, yellow raisins, walnuts and feta cheese.
I added a little cranberry orange relish to mine.
By 7, the sun was back out in full force.

As soon as the girls saw me, they ran in from the pasture.

Gary has been making progress in the gardens.
When I started this post, the sun was coming in through the west windows,
lighting up the plant in the library.  This morning the light was on the opposite side.
A full day.
Night all.

Looks like you had such nice weather for the breast cancer walk/run this year! If I recall correctly, it's been less than ideal the last few years. Happy Mother's Day and what a great way to celebrate Jenny's good health!
