The Duck Derby

After Lorrie and I finished chores she worked Moon and I did a little shredding with the company of my girls.  Poor Abbe is still itchy from her bug bites.  Gary put up the boards she knocked down yesterday rubbing on them.
At 9:30 Gary, Ariana and I went down to the Village as the Arts Festival was on and we had to sell tickets for the Duck Derby.

The Market was in full swing and I hope all the vendors sold out their goods...so many extra people in town (thousands).

I could not resist taking pictures of the dogs who walked by.

Jenny stopped at the table to see how the duck sales were going.  Ariana took it upon herself to buy two tickets ($5 for one lonely duck or $20 for a Quack Pack).  And guess what!!!!! Out of the thousands of tickets sold she was one of 10 winners...a $250 gift card to Wegmans!  What were the chances of that happening?  So excited.

 Loved this pup.

I posted the work of this vendor last year....he does some pretty fine carvings.
 There was music....
these dogs were having their portraits done....
and of course their was food all over the place.

After we ate lunch, went home so Gary could get his car and go back down for duty at the Welcome Center.
I spent the afternoon mowing the lawn.

The girls had dinner around 5:30.  Abbe was itching herself and had more Benadryl.

It was a very blue sky kind of day!
Another vegetarian dinner.  Grilled zucchini and onions....
a salad that Saint Tim would eat (if he had Ranch dressing)
 grilled pineapple....
and a bean salad (that I like to put on top of my regular salad).

I made a quick run to Weggies and when I got back a friend stopped in and chatted.  He lives out of town and was here for the PGA with his sons.
That's why I am so late with this post!
Night all.

Doggies of all types, food, green lawns, and a red cart for when one doggie gets tired legs!! Well, I guess that is what it is for?? A great place to be. Greetings from Jean.

What a busy day you had! You wore me out just thinking about it!

Loved all the dogs. We have a duck day here too. People buy ducks and then they are released at once in a creek and the first duck across the finish line wins!

Great fund raiser.

Oh that pair of Bernese Mountain pups is so cute with their short-clipped hair! What a picturesque town you live in!

This is my six month bogging anniversary and I wanted to take the time to say thank-you for having been one of the first bloggers to welcome me into blog land when I dipped my toe in the blog pool 6 months ago :) Thank you !
