Of late, she has been ridden with a new, proper fitting saddle and switched from an English Bridle to a Hackamore.
Is she happy about it? YES....
She started out working with Justine, who is currently unable to ride (broken arm).
So, her father (Darrin) became more active in keeping Winnie busy.
The new saddle and hackamore are a result of working with a new instructor (my trainer for Abbe at Glen Darach Farm).
Andrea knows the importance of proper fitting tack and it has made an amazing difference.
Darrin and Winnie are more comfortable with each other, making great progress.
One more thing, Winnie is blind in one eye. It does not stop her from being a great ride.
PS - as you can see, she likes rolling in mud.

The picture with a reflection in the eye of the horse is superb! Great pictures overall!

Pretty cool, I didn't notice the reflection. However, it comes as no surprise. Based on the way Winnie has flourished since arriving at the Skoog Farm, Lori is a bright spot in her eye and her good eye at that. Gives new meaning to "a horses content is a reflection of who cares for it". Thanks Lori for your patience and education this past year, we've learned a lot, mostly that have more to learn.
