When It Rains It Pours

This was one of those days.  Never stopped raining.

Late afternoon yesterday we had a Wisconsin sweatshirt delivery from Daniela and Jenny took our photo after I had posted.  Of course we are very supportive of the teams she works with there.

It could not have been uglier outside.  Alice arrived around 11:30 and we headed out to see Buddy and give him a Spa Day.  When we got there his head was sticking out of the door getting rained on and the rest of him was dry.  We must have taken off an entire bucket of hair.

He and Cotton had their usual treats....carrots, apples and cookies.

Buddy now has on a rain sheet instead of his blanket as weather has been so up and down.  I think he enjoyed getting groomed and it was good to see him.
I got back to the farm just in time to take Gary down to St. Lukes for the last Winter Serenades Concert.  Little Wonder went with me.
ItWhen I went back at 3 it was hard to find a parking place, John Dady has such a following.  Jenny was there for part of the concert.
Gary took care of introductions and
this was by far the biggest crowd they have ever had.  So packed they filled up the seats where the choir usually sings.

Irish Music by John Dady and John Michael Ryan (This was in the local paper).

Brockport’s Winter Serenades music series concludes with a special program at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, at St Luke’s Episcopal Church, on the corner of Main and State Streets.

In a fitting Serenade for March, join legendary Rochester Music Hall of Famer (and Hamlin homesteader) John Dady with broadcaster John Michael Ryan for a lively performance featuring the next generation of Irish music and dance. Joining the two esteemed veterans are Dady’s grandchildren, Saoirse (step dancing) and Braden (fiddle), for what should be a rousing afternoon of song and dance in the afterglow of St. Patrick’s Day.

John Ryan can be heard at noon each Sunday on the popular Irish Party House radio show on Rochester Free Radio 106.3 (rochesterfreeradio.com) and also archived on Mixcloud. This mainstay of Rochester Irish culture returned in 2026, hosted now by Rochester trad musician Ryan. Visit mixcloud.com/irishpartyhouse to hear the program if you missed the live broadcast. On the March 8 show, Dady joined the program as a guest DJ and talked about his storied career.

This concert was so electric.  Lots of participation along with great Irish music!
There was a short reception when it was over and

John Michael Ryan stopped in to play his flute.
A latish dinner.  Cheeseburgers with caramelized onions, baked beans and coleslaw.
Little Wonder is ready for bed.
Night all.

PS
Michele sent a picture she took of Gary yesterday when he was raking up pinecones.
A keeper.
