Bangers and Mash

We woke up to snow, high winds and it felt like -9 degrees.  Little Wonder had to be freezing when I let him out at 7:30.

Gary left at 9:15 to pick up Steph at the train station in Rochester....a 25 hour ride from Kansas City.  A sweet little adventure and she had to be tired!  Little Wonder was all over her as soon as she sat down.  So good to have her here!

He took a nap when she went upstairs to take one.
Nancy and John came for music at 1and I did not record anything today.  We messed around with several songs that we don't normally play,

We were invited to Jenny's for bangers and mash tonight and it was my job to make some sweet and sour red cabbage. I threw in a couple chopped apples the last few minutes.  Earlier I had made gingerbread for dessert.

We arrived at 6.

Had drinks and appetizers.....
followed by a fantastic dinner.  Once a week Jenny makes a new recipe from the New York Times and tonight was the night.   We had bangers, mashed potatoes, green beans and sweet and sour red cabbage.
The bangers were served in a brown gravy with onions....so good!
Can you even tell what is what?

After dinner we watched a basketball game for a few minutes.....

then headed back to the farm.
Night all.

What a snowfall!!! Yummy meal, a friend down here said she had curried sausages and mashed spuds, almost like yours, gravy adds the perfect finish.
