50 Degrees

The problem is...tomorrow it will be 38 degrees with a 90% chance of rain.

I took Little Wonder out this morning and picked up some sticks in attempt to start working on the yard.  There must be thousands of black walnuts on the ground and moving them is going to be a real pain.
Buddy's Mom called and said that she has found a place for him to go and ironically it is a farm owned by a friend of mine.  She has one horse left (quarter horse) and he would like some company.  If this works out, I would be so happy.  Buddy would be too.
Meanwhile....Big Bird made it through another winter.
Almost all of the snow is gone now.

I spent a lot of time on the phone this afternoon and caught up with my friend Hanny.
We had a picnic kind of dinner.  Made some Mac salad and had two pieces of ham left that
Gary grilled with a topping of mustard and brown sugar.  Then, I turned them into grilled ham and cheese sandwiches.

So good.
Night all.

Still.......

Butterfly and greenery. And for Buddy, a new home and a new friend. And no snow. Down here getting colder and darker mornings every day!! Summer was maybe 2.5 days.!! Autumn skipped past so fast.

We still have snow from last week's storm and are supposed to have thunderstorms and heavy rains tomorrow evening. Mudville, here we come.
I'm happy that Buddy will find a place with another horse! Good news!
I spent the morning picking up sticks too!

Spring can be so fickle...more now than it seems it was 'back in the day'. I am happy for Buddy, and will keep my fingers crossed that they become best buds! There is a horse around the corner from us who seems lonely. He does have a stable companion, but they are separated - I don't ever see them together. The lonely guy will come to the fence if I stop when I'm walking or riding my bike for a few scritches!

Fantastic news for Buddy! I woke the morning to what was a snow covered yard to no snow. It was warm overnight and it rained.
