On the Road Again

54 degrees and sunshine...but the wind made it feel cooler.

I was very happy to start off my day with this photo from Kathy.  Cotton and Buddy have been getting more and more pasture time together and hopefully they are both enjoying each others company.

At 9:15 I had to get Little Wonder down to the Brockport Animal Hospital as he has been itchy lately and I don't want to have it develop into something.  Have you had a dog with this problem?  What did you do?

He was very good for the Vet.
He was prescribed an anti itch pill and some special shampoo.  I read everything about each and thought what the heck!  Did not like the description of either and called them and asked a few questions.  The answers made it seem more reasonable.  He has to have 4 baths in the next two weeks.  That should be fun....and I need to keep the soap on him each time for 10 minutes.  He was not itchy before the last time he was at the groomers.  I wonder if she changed shampoos or something.

He and Sid went for a short stroll when we got home.
I was surprised to see these crocuses coming up....it's been so cold.
At 11:15 I had an appointment with the Chiropractor.  I actually slept well last night and did not feel too bad.
Did not do anything special during the afternoon.  Gary was outside raking much of the day.

Around 4 I decided it was time to kick off taking trike rides.
Here is number 1.
Only rode a couple of miles, but at least it was a start.

Started on dinner when I got back to the farm.  Stir fried veggies...

and Asian wings.

Tasted great.
Now I am going to take it easy.
Night all.

Be careful-there are a few meds out there for itching that cause dogs cancer the longer they are on them. Itching can be from dry skin and like you said a product change. I try not to medicate my dogs but instead find the source and take care of it that way otherwise you are covering up the problem.

The other thing that can cause itching is pesticides on grass (any place your dog gets out and walks-a lot of places spray their grass and you never know it). Also since you are on facebook a lot, look up the stuff your vet gave you. A lot of groups share their bad experiences on facebook groups.
