Gorgeous all day long. Got up to 56 degrees and no wind!
After chores I did a little pasture picking with my assistant.
While I was out there I took the blankets off the boys. At last.
I used the shedding blade on them and tons of hair came off. Their coats (especially Rebel's) looked so raggedy. Fortunately Alice is coming tomorrow for Spa Day and we can get more hair off.
At noon I had to be down at the Whitehall Mansion to get 2 charcuterie boards ready for a 2-4 event for the Morgan Manning House. I had plenty of prep help, then put them together.
They were loaded.
80 people were coming and we also served wine.
My helpers.
There was a 45 minute program before the food part and Scott and Paul brought us up on what has happened since the fire. An excellent presentation.
Many years ago, this home was owned by a local doctor (Gary did a lot of painting there) and it has had a couple of other owners since that time. Currently it has been turned into a great spot for weddings and other events. There is all kind of construction going on as they are creating a new, very large venue.
It will look like this.
There is a Butler's pantry
a regular kitchen and a prep kitchen in the main house.
This is the main house. There is also what used to be a very fancy stable in the back along with tennis courts and a pool.
Got back home around 3:30 for a break.
Did chores a little early....
and went back down two prepare a third charcuterie board for the 7-9 part of the event.
I am so tired!!!This is what it looked like when we got home at 9:30.
Night all.

That is quite a building. I know wedding venues are very pricey. Yikes.
I've been using the shedding blade on my critters too. The birds are loving the hair to use for nesting materials.
You had a very busy day!
