Snow! 23 Degrees, Felt Like -2!!!

This will be the coldest day of the week and we had high winds up to 40 MPH.

I had put the hay under the shed roof, but the boys thought it was behind the grooming room.
Called them over.  So glad Rebel respondsed....
just like Little Wonder would.

and then Buddy followed.
Within a short time it started to snow.

They ended up in the small pasture for a couple of hours...

and I put them back in the barn by 11:30 as it was just to cold.
When I got back in the house I made a pot of chicken and rice soup out of broth I had saved.  Threw in some spinach for a change.
The rest of the afternoon we were pretty lazy.

I was happy to have the fire going.
Gary went to yoga and out to lunch.  By the time he got home most of the snow had disappeared.
I turned the boys back out at 4:30 and they went straight for the grass.

We ate dinner a little early....a nice salad
and the soup topped with fresh squeezed lemon juice.  The best I have ever made,
Tucked the boys in around 7.  It will be in the 20s again tonight.  So glad I put their heavy blankets on this morning (after I got a lot more hair off them).

Night all.

PS
I have decided to get 2 factor authentication in the form of a key that goes in the back of my computer.  Will have to figure that out next.

I'm so sorry . . . this should not be April weather. Stay warm and enjoy that lovely soup :)

Internet joys and troubles, but if it makes you more safe, a good way to go. Snow, what is happening to our climate, I have bearded iris flowering, they must think it is spring.!!!

The broth looks delicious, I can imagine how good the soup is. You are getting some mixed up weather.
