Every morning starts off the same way.
The lawn looks like a thick carpet after getting a little rain.
After chores I took a quick shower and totally forgot that I was having a meeting in the Studio at 10am. Had 10 minutes to get ready. Our Art & Aesthetics Committee has been working on an interpretive panel that will be installed on campus in front of the Alumni House, honoring Helen Smagorinsky. She was part of this group and passed away a few months ago. I've written about her before....a very successful artist who lived right here in our community. This morning we looked over a print of what the panel will look like and are ready to move forward. It's going to be positively gorgeous.
Gary picked another quart of strawberries today....more shortcake on the way.
This afternoon Jenny stopped up for some mixed greens and a bouquet of flowers.
They, like the veggies, have been incredible this summer.
Dinner? I decided to make some tzatziki.
We also had corn, sloppy Joes, cucumbers, onions and tomatoes.
After dinner the pups and I went out to do evening chores.
There was some good light.....

Those flowers, gorgeous glads, and a garden Gary can be so proud of. This does not happen by chance, and anyone who remarks, ""You are so lucky to have your own veges,"" has no idea of what is behind that basket of goodies.

We had some pretty sunsets here too, but our mornings have been stunning!
