Still.....

I let the dogs out for a potty break before going to the barn and Little Wonder refused to come back in the house.  He did not care how cold it was.

I took his coat with me and finally got it on him....he was ready.
The rest of the day was made up of quick in and outs.

The flowers on my kitchen table are still hanging in there.
 The lilies are so white.

 Class today...just 3 students.

 Carina made her delivery and
Pam could not wait to get into her Challah bread.
By 12:30 the wind was so wild I put the horses back in the barn and
worked on a few things during the afternoon.
Tonight we had an organizational meeting at the Town Hall and the newly elected officials were sworn in.  The Court Room was packed and people ended up having to stand.

Margay (on the left) is the Mayor of the Village and Kevin (on the right) is our
new Town Supervisor.  They will be meeting regularly, which is good for our community.
The moon was bright tonight, in spite of the clouds.

While I was gone, the furnace conked out and Gary had  Scott C. come up to repair it.
The heat was back on by the time I got home.  Not the best thing to happen during this cold snap.
I started dinner when I got home at 7.
Chicken with caramelized onions and carrots
 and coleslaw.
We don't usually eat that late, but it tasted great.
Now it's time to rest.
Night all.

another day, great meeting, the fire is so cosy. Keep warm, and safe on those roads.

The winds got pretty wicked here last night, but I understand that you all may be in for some more bad weather...Jeesh, wish you could catch a break!

Dear Lori, the cold snap here in Missouri is so rare that everyone is chilled to the bone. In an attempt to get back some muscle tone and stamina, I've been walking twice a day for about three weeks. With this chill, I've needed to layer with turtleneck and hoodie and an insulated coat with a hood. I must look like the Michelin Man, stuffed to the gills. I hope that with his coat on Little Wonder is as toasty as I am when I walk. Peace.
