Green Tomatoes in November

Can't beat the color lately.

As you can see, the front paddock is still a muddy mess...
so is the outdoor arena (not to mention the standing water).

After chores I changed my clothes and made myself
 drive down to Agape.
Somehow I managed to do 20 minutes on the elliptical, 20 on the bike and 5 on the treadmill.
It sure would be nice if I could get back in the exercise groove.
After lunch I decided to make a pot of butternut squash/apple soup.
I large squash.
 2 cups of onions.
 2 apples.
First I sauteed the onions in a combo of butter and olive oil.
When they were translucent I added the squash, apples 1 cup of water, 1 cup of cider,
salt, pepper and a tablespoon of good chicken stock (organic paste).
When everything was fork tender I put it through the food processor.
Returned it to the pot and added a little milk to thin it out.
 Easy and outstanding flavor.

After that, the pups and I went out to the garden

 and I picked tomatoes....
 mostly green/a few red.
 Also found some cauliflower.
This is truly the end of the glads.
It is the third time I have cut them back.

Should be able to squeek out a couple more days.
Around 5pm, the setting sun was blasting through the west windows.
 Dinner was delicious.
Salad-mixed greens, apples, golden raisins, bananas and peanuts.
 Carina's multi grain bread...
and the soup.

Night all.

And of all your photos today, the last one was my favourite. Your tomatoes are lasting so well. Glads too.

Our neighbours tomatoes are the same. Hoping to have some of our own next year! I hate the mud! The dog keeps tracking footprints through the house here too.

You make the best dishes and have the yummiest looking foods to eat!
We are dry now thank goodness. The crops can get picked!
