No time for a nap today and I am so tired.
It was grey again with sporadic light rain.
After chores I spent hours reading town related material...it was enough to give me eye strain.
At 4 I went down to the Lift Bridge Book Shop as the Lt. Governor, Kathy Hochul, was in town to support "Small Business Saturday." This was her 5th stop and she had one more to go.
I met the Village Mayor, Margay Blackman and Hanny Heyen (active volunteer in our community)
and Kathy arrived 5 minutes later. She is a good friend to Brockport and has been here numerous times. Many years ago she was at our farm for a fund raiser.
Time Warner News was there and I'm waiting to catch their report.
The three of them continued on to Bittersweet and I went home to feed the horses.
While I was at the bookstore I picked up a copy of Sharon Creech's latest book....
MOO. Can't wait to read it.
Several years ago she was living in the Chautauqua area and we had the pleasure of meeting her.
Prior to that, we had connected through my blog and I was very surprised to find that she lived close to some friends of ours. I grew up across the lake from her home.
At any rate, she is an fabulous writer and gave me 17 of her signed books!
I'll bet your kids/grandkids have read her book "Walk Two Moons."
The horses were a mess tonight. They love rolling in the mud.
Food sounded terrible...
I sauteed some onions and threw them and some cheddar cheese into the leftover mashed potatoes, Gary made scrambled eggs and I had a piece of toast....and some cantaloupe.
All I want to do is get out in the kitchen by the fire.
Night all.

Sounds like a great and busy day. Nice that your Lt. Governor is a friend to Brockport.
