The Railing

Sunshine and mosquitos.

This morning I ran a couple of errands....looking for some art supplies for my next class.  Could not find one thing and ended up ordering on line.  I already have 8 people who have committed and may get a few more!  Wild.
Yesterday one of my recent students called to ask for some suggestions regarding her latest watercolor.  She was trying to apply what she learned here and I was so impressed.  We were able to discuss it, since she sent me this photo and we could both see it on our computers.  Can't wait to see the finished product.  Having a photo reference is so helpful.

A few days ago Gary and Finn worked on some stairs coming off our kitchen porch.  Today it was all about putting up a railing.

Such a jungle out there.

I talked Gary into cutting a couple feet off the vertical post...which has a little solar cap on it.

I took a break while he
moved some dirt next to the railing...
and added a second horizontal board.
Things are shaping up.
He worked so hard I took him out for dinner at the Diner.
Now it's nap time....again.
Night all.

The railing looks so impressive. Online we can do almost everything.I learnt how to transpose one faulty key to another, on my laptop, rather than try to get a replacement keyboard which two repair shops told me would be nigh impossible.Saved buying a new one, thousands !!!Lovely to know you have such interest in the next classes ,

Nice railing, smart to add it to make sure you are steady walking down those stairs.
That first photo and painting are so beautiful!

It is a jungle! It's been so dry this year we have no mosquitoes. Plenty of wicked flies, though. That is a good, strong rail. What does the solar cap do?
