There is no way I could live in a humid, tropical climate. Would be dead by now. We are so fortunate to have electricity, fans and a couple window air conditioners. Early morning the sun was already beaming in.
I have a new groove for this weather. The first thing I do....turn on the air conditioner and 2 fans in the kitchen Then I start my regular routine. Close off the living room, library and bedroom, where it gets outrageously hot.
After chores I picked and ate a few cherries...my weakness.
Also made a pasta salad for dinner.
It was slightly cooler today inside and LW, Gary and I all took long afternoon naps.
After 5 Gary went out and trimmed off the low hanging branches from the willow tree as I am constantly hitting them when I mow. Speaking of mowing...the grass is growing like crazy and I don't see it getting cut until it cools off.
Gary wanted to go out for a sandwich, so we went down to 58 Main and enjoyed the coolness. We will have the pasta salad tomorrow.
Chores at 8:45.
After the boys had their grain, I rigged their gates so they could go in and out freely. Put some hay in the front paddock where there was a breeze and brought out Buddy.
Eventually I got Rebel out there.
I put the indoor night light on and will check on them before I go to bed.
They have always been in at night, but the barn is so darn hot.
The heat advisory is on for about 24 more hours. Our house really needs to cool off.

The bombing of Iran and a President who does not know what he is doing. They had plenty of time to move all their nuclear supplies while T kept messing around. What a crazy situation. What was the point? Really..... Not going through congress is just one more thing he has done that does not follow protocol and it will be interesting to see if anything comes of it. The complicit congress needs to be totally replaced with people who care about this country and the constituents that vote for
them. Anyone who think what's going on is ok does not have my support or respect.
As for the treatment of immigrants. We are totally out of control and an embarassment. America can now be known for inhumanity. And it all has been done so people will not want to come here from other countries. T and his rich pals are going to notice a big difference in our economy. How can one man ruin our planet this way?

Although our grandson was in Canada, I am so thankful he is back in NZ where we seem to be relatively safe. The continuing DT saga has just escalated to a whole new level, on a par with your heat wave maybe,. Keep the air con and the fans going.
