All Gone....

Once again the Canadian fires had an impact on our air quality.  3 days in a row.  The index was at 111 and it is usually around 25 or 30.  Kept my nose running and I sneezed all day long.

Around 9 one of our friends (Ken H.) came up to the farm with his son to pick up our manure.  They also have huge gardens and use it to improve their soil.
They took 2 loads, and that was at least 30 tons!  Buddy and Rebel produced 60,000 pounds of manure in the past 12 months and we moved every ounce with a wheel barrow!  Can't imagine how much it was when I had 8 horses here.  They had to come several times.  Gary always puts it on our gardens and I don't have a clue as to how much that would be.
At noon, two more friends arrived to get some of our garlic scapes.   Bill T. and Sarah S.  We spent some time on the back porch before they had to leave.

Perfect timing....just ready.
More peonies were in bloom today so I picked a few for our kitchen table.

While Gary went down to Brockport for coffee I started picking strawberries....sliced them up, added a little sugar and put them in to go containers in the freezer.
When he got home, he picked about a quart and a half more.
and this time he cleaned and sliced them.
We may have to start selling them as we have way too many for our freezer.
Picnic dinner.
This is how Little Wonder looked when I asked him if he wanted to go out with me for evening chores.  Not interested.
Both boys were maskless and being tortured by the mosquitos when I got out to the barn.

That's a wrap.
Night all.
