Hot, muggy and buggy. Not my favorite start to the day. I wormed the horses and they were not too excited. Rebel was ok and Buddy was horrible, but I eventually gotterdone. They sported new masks and looked pretty cool in them.
Right after chores I mowed the lawn. Gary was off to yoga and lunch with 13 of his pals.
Little Wonder does not like this weather.
I went to Aldis to get a couple things and took it easy for awhile.
A little after 4 my friend Joanne came to the farm for a photoshoot. She is running for office in our town, Judge. She is a very experienced attorney and moved back here a couple years ago. We had a good time. I can't show you the pictures we are really going to use, but we sure got some fun shots.
LW tried to stay cool.
I made something new for dinner. So delicious.
Had some chicken broth, added onion, celery and carrots. When finished, added some lemon juice and fresh ground pepper. Then I threw in some spaghetti (a little over 4 inches of broth by then) and boiled it until it was just about done (the way I make lomain). Turned off the stove and covered it. It absorbed most of the liquid and finished cooking. Served it about 20 minutes later with some Romano cheese and another squeeze of lemon juice. A keeper! Sandra, you would like this.
Took it easy again before evening chores
The boys were very suspicious of me when they got in their stalls. Hopefully they will eat their grain, carrots and apples tonight. They did not eat their breakfast after they were wormed. Won't do that again.
