Enough Already!

I am so done.  Wish it would rain like crazy.   Up at 6.

I tried something new last night.  It was so hot in the barn I tied the two gates in Rebel's stall and one gate in Buddy's in the open position and put some hay out in the paddock (they also had hay in their stalls) so they could go out where there was a breeze.  Led them both out....Buddy stayed and Rebel went back in his stall.  Out at 11pm to make sure everything was good and they both had chosen to be in their stalls. This morning they were in the front paddock chowing.

They voluntarily went in for breakfast and I left all the stall gates open again.

Buddy was in and out.

When finished, I decided to mow the lawn where there was shade and did the rest in two 15 minute spurts a few hours later.  The farmer who works the land next to us was creating a dust storm.

Gary had yoga and lunch and at 1:30 our friend Al stopped up with some wood (he carves birds) and we use the remains for kindling.  Had a nice long chat and then took it easy, trying to stay cool.

Dinner...the pasta salad I made yesterday.  It was delicious,

The heat index had to be at least 100 and was still in the 80s

at chore time.

Little Wonder was smart and stayed on the couch near the air conditioner.
