The Return of the Red Coat

It was pouring this morning and it lasted off and on until late afternoon.  Cold and windy too.  Little Wonder needed his red coat and I needed an umbrella.

We worked on the house this morning and took it easy after lunch.  Around 4 the sun came out and it was gorgeous out there.
The fire was going much of the day.

Fortunately the boys sheets had dried off by chore time.  They were soaked by 9am.

Before going out, I had all the food in pretty good shape for tonights dinner.

Jenny, Scott and Allen arrived around 6 and Megan and Scott pulled in around 7.  So nice to meet them.   They had a very long ride today (from Amagansett). None of my photos around the table turned out well but I did get a few shots of the food.  Linguine topped with oil, butter, Romano cheese, caramelized onions and fresh tomatoes.

Yum.
So many interesting conversations!
Ice cream with fresh raspberries for dessert.

I'll work on getting some better shots tomorrow.  So tired.
Night all.

Having guests is a lot of work!

We were coldish here too. Charlie was in heaven. He has a hound fur coat and this weather makes him happy.
Enjoy your company!

I'll say YUM! That is a major beard your guest has. We badly need rain, but it isn't in the forecast anytime soon.
