Another unbelievable day. 80 degrees.
After chores were finished I grabbed the old John Deere and used some baling twine to attach an old wagon so I could pick up the manure in the pastures. I had put it in piles yesterday.
It worked very well and saved me pushing a wheelbarrow.
Little Wonder needed sun glasses.
I did some laundry and changed sheets and at 3 I had an appointment with a podiatrist. My first time there. I had the problem over 6 or 7 weeks ago (plantar fac.) and it took me this long to get in. By now, the problem was gone as I figured out that ice and stretching my calf muscles would help me get over it. Anyway....they took x-rays and I'm doing ok. Stretching (calf) is something I need to do regularly.
I took an inventory of the food situation and decided it would be possible to put together some Naan bread pizzas for dinner.
Tomorrow is November 1st and we still had enough peppers, onions and tomatoes for me to do this. Not bad.
Chores a little after 6.
Got the boys tucked in. No beautiful skies tonight.
This is a sculpture in the garden across from the kitchen. When Stephanie was here in August she put one of the solar lights left from her Kaftan Party in the arm of "Father Foozi."
I am always surprised by it as it gets dark.
As soon as I got in the house I popped the 2 pizzas into the oven and they turned out well.
So good!
Night all.
As for the political scene! Utterly amazing! If you want to read something scary, read the October 30th post by Heather Cox Richard, a historian. https://heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/october-30-2024?r=73vsk&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=email&fbclid=IwY2xjawGQdC1leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHWzeHyp2YaPoEmBvjzF0LyeKC11dRyBPykjaqgXsbTExyGhMybRrzGRrxA_aem_-h_tLFPSh_iYAkUPVplS4g&triedRedirect=true
I read her posts every day and she has the most accurate, documented information.
